Do electric fireplaces give off heat?

Almost all electric fireplaces include heaters and blowers. The flames, however, do not require the use of a heater. This is a significant advantage over gas or wood-burning fireplaces, where the flames provide heat. Sometimes we want to enjoy the warmth of a fire without overheating our surroundings.
Consider a rainy Summer evening when it's warm but dreary outside and we crave a fire. It is impossible to have a fire without heat in any other type of fireplace. All electric fireplaces have heaters that operate independently of the flames, allowing us to use them throughout the year.
